FAQ's
How do I get a quote?
Are your quotes FREE?
Yes we provide a FREE quoting service.
How are price of quotes decided?
There are a number of factors that the Arborist considers when quoting for a job. The main factors are the access to the tree and the complexity of the work. The harder to access and more technical the work the longer it takes and the more it costs.
Different species of tree can also bring about different problems so this is also a consideration when determining the cost.
How long does a job normally take?
This all depends on the complexity of the job, but most jobs are done within the day.
How can I pay my bill?
You can either pay by internet banking, TreeZone’s account number can be found on the bottom of the invoice. Alternatively you can post us a Chq to PO Box 237, Silverdale Auckland
Do I need a Council Consent to cut down a tree?
As part of the Councils current rules and the new rules under the Unitary plan some trees require a consent to be removed or pruned. As the Arborists, TreeZone would need to check with the Council before doing any tree work that may be in a protected area or an SEA (Significant Ecological Area).
If you do require a Council Consent we can help you fill out the forms and if the Council does require an Arborist report this is something we can help with also.
When would I need an Arborist Report?
The Council may require an Arborist report when applying for resource consent to remove a tree, Subdivisions, putting in a gas connection to your house or a number of other situations. Talk to us about your requirements and we can recommend the best type of tree report for your requirements.
Why do you use ropes instead of cranes/hiab’s?
At TreeZone we have the skill to be able to work with even the most technical tree work. A lot of this ability comes from the use of ropes which allows us to be very controlled in our lowering of branches and debris. It is much more cost effective way to dismantle even the largest tree, however at certain times it is more cost effective to call upon the use of cranes and hiab’s to assist with dismantling large or heavy trees.
Do TreeZone have insurance, should anything go wrong?
Yes we have $2 million public liability insurance, provided by Vero and can supply an Insurance certificate on request.
Why do you not recommend topping of trees?
A detailed description can be found by clicking here, this covers reasons such as Starvation, Shock, Insects & Disease, Weak limbs, Rapid New Growth and Tree death. The Arborist will always talk through all the options available to you when he does the quote and make recommendations for the best possible outcome.
What does ‘Reward Zone’ offer?
Reward Zone is TreeZone’s reward programme that offers 10% off any works booked within 1 Year of previous work by TreeZone Ltd. If you own multiple properties this Reward is transferable between properties.
